Is Cow Cuddling the same as receiving counseling or “Cownseling”?

No, it is not the same. Though Kate will be there to facilitate the cow cuddling sessions and she is a counselor, she does not act as a counselor to any cow cuddling visitors. If you are interested in becoming a client, you may reach out to her directly or visit her website here.

Why is cow cuddling relaxing?

From a scientific standpoint, spending time with cows decreases cortisol, the stress hormone and increases oxytocin, the feel good hormone. One of the reasons it works is because their heart rate is so much slower than ours, and biologically our bodies try to match the heart rates of those we are around. Spending time with cows is an extremely enjoyable way to slow down and pay attention to the present moment.
