The Logistics
We currently have a waitlist to get on our delivery but if you reach out I can try to connect you with other people who have fresh eggs.
Every Monday we deliver locally to Beaumont, Fannett, Midcounty and surrounding areas. Eggs are $7/dozen plus $2 delivery fee.
The delivery window is from 5pm-8pm. Kate will let you know when she is about 20 minutes away from your home. Eggs can be dropped off at your door if you’re not home as long as the weather is not extreme. Payment accepted via cash, Venmo, or Paypal.
Why Fresh Eggs?
Our chickens roam our farm during the daylight hours and would be considered pasture raised. Chickens raised this way get a bunch of nutrients from foraging that make the eggs have a great flavor, not to mention they are happier! They are also given high-quality feed, and our coops are set up in a way to reduce stress for the hens. And! Purchasing your eggs locally helps to support our farm.
Our Story
We sell about 20 dozen eggs each week in the spring/summer/fall and 12 dozen in the winter. We keep a few to feed our family and let our chickens (and dogs) have the ugly/small eggs that we wouldn’t be able to sell, so there is very little waste. We handle over 10,000 eggs per year!
We began raising chickens seven years ago, and began selling them to others in 2020. We knew at the time that a fresh product needed to be distributed efficiently and that a farm stand was not the easiest way to manage freshness- so we decided to deliver directly to our customers! At this point we have our system down. We collect the eggs daily, and only sell what’s been laid in the past week. We clean the eggs the same day we deliver them so the first time they’ll be refrigerated is at your home. Eggs from the grocery store are 30-90 days old by the time they get to you. The oldest egg you’ll get from us is 7 days old- our eggs are about as fresh as you can get!
Why are the eggs different colors?
The different colors come from different breeds of chickens! If you’ve never had farm fresh eggs you were probably used to just white or brown from the store. But there are a bunch of different colors on the spectrum of chicken eggs. Right now we have sky blue, green, and several shades of brown, including a deep chocolate brown. These come from Rhode Island Red, Olive Eggers, Marans, Ameruacanas and Delaware Chickens.
